Cream of Spinach Scarf

This scarf was started well over a year ago and I found it difficult and laid it aside until this fall. I'm a terrible procrastinator when things don't go as planned :(

This go around it has been much easier and I hope to have it done by December. (It's a birthday present for some one special - you know who you are! :))

This should be called the stress relief scarf.

 I started it when The Pilot was working on siding on his shop, three stories up. 

It was scary watching him up there, but I felt better watching him, rather than leaving him all by himself.

So, I sat below, with my knitting and my cell phone, ready to call 911 if he fell off.

It all seems silly now, but at the time, it felt right. 

Okay, I know I'm more than a little paranoid, please bear with me! 

There's something about knitting that calms me down, keeps me busy.

The scarf grew again as we zipped around in the Cessna last weekend.

And today, when I went with my mother to the hospital and sat waiting while she had a procedure done.

She wasn't nervous at all, but of course I was!

By the way, my mother is such an amazing woman, I thank God for her!

She is such an example of just not letting the big things bother her.

 She has a heart condition called A-fib which is an irregular heartbeat that is usually controlled by medication. But occasionally, she has an episode and to get her heart back in the "proper " rhythm, she had a cardioversion procedure.

She's had this done before and it basically restarts her heart. It's very quick and pain free and she assures me that it's no big deal, but still, to me it's a little scary.

By the way, she's back home and doing great! I'm so thankful!

So today, I was knitting up a storm, and now I think I'm about half way done.
