Today's Song (for me)

I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at his right hand
Stands one who is my Savior

I take him at His word and deed
Christ died to save me: this I read
And in my heart I find a need
Of Him to be my Savior

That He would leave His place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior Loves, my Savior Lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God; He was, my God; He is
My God; is always gonna be

Daffodils 2013

Every year, we mark spring's arrival by picking the first daffodils. I find it interesting to look back to previous years to see when they bloomed.

(Go HERE to see last year's post.)

This year was no different, we set out one afternoon last week and picked a whole bowlful...

And then, it snowed...

and springtime was put on hold. But, the good thing about snow in late March... it melts the next day.

And I'm keeping an eagle eye on the ten day forecast. I see warm weather coming up!

Hope you all have an awesome, warm, springy weekend!!

Little Chair

Good morning!

Here is my five dollar chair, redone with a coffee sack and paint. It is at the computer desk for now, but I would like to find more mis-matched chairs to replace the set around my table.

Today, I'm listening/watching THIS.

So powerful! Enough said.

Have a great day friends!

Old House Problems

Yesterday, I came home to this:

Something to consider when buying an old house. Even though the house has new plumbing we can't be sure what all is going on under the ground. Time for some investigating. I'm so glad my husband is an experienced plumber and has all the right equipment for the job! So far, he has replaced a lot of old, rusty pipe and is still digging up the yard searching for the septic tank. (Is there a septic tank?)  Fun times!

The good thing is that the grass around this part of the yard has never grown well. While digging we found so much gravel - almost like a road bed under the dirt. We've removed a few inches and will replace it with good topsoil. I'm hoping to have much better results with the grass after this!

And it does look like we'll get a good snow tomorrow, should be fun, as long as we don't loose power. (We don't have wood heat and I am a wimp when I get cold.)

All the Lovely Losers

I really enjoyed the Jason Gray concert the other night. (Actually, this clip wasn't from the concert that I was at, but similar.)

Isn't it great to hear from someone's heart and realize that they know the same God that I do! And listening to clips online I realized that he has a speech impediment. But he is letting his weakness shine in a big way - truly awesome!

My last post was about spring, looks like we may see a lot of snow on Wednesday. I don't mind, it would be great to get a real snow, not just little teasers. But then, Spring please, come soon!!

Ready for Spring

Hi you all!! I haven't had much motivation to blog lately. Our family has had more than our share of sickness and we're just waiting out the end of winter, hoping for warm weather soon!

I'm ready to get outside and stir up a little dirt! Maybe plant an early garden, peas, onions, lettuce...

I found these date signs at a sale this morning. A whole box full, in red and also in black. They are made of a plastic like material, all the months and numbers. Any ideas of ways to use them around the house? I just couldn't pass them up!

We're going to hear THIS tonight, can't wait! Hope you all have a great weekend!
