Just a little while ago, I got a call from my daughter. ( the kids went to lunch with their dad )
" Hi Mom! We're going flying!! We're on the runway and we're going to take off in a minute!"
So I promise to go out in the yard and wave, and sure enough, I hear the drone of the plane about five minutes later.
As I'm standing there waving at the plane I'm thinking wow, my whole life, everything I live for, work for, love - is up in that tiny plane.
I must say, I had a moment of fear. Life is so fragile, I'm so afraid of losing them.
I am rather a fearful person. I fear heights, I fear snakes, I fear sickness, some unknown tragedy, conflict, pain, I am at times afraid of the future.
Some of these I struggle with daily, others not so often.
As I watched the plane bank, circle the house, and then straighten and head out of sight I felt God's love, and then his peace surround me.
"Fear not, for I am with you..."
" Behold, I am with you, even to the end of the ages."
I'm so glad for His presence in my life.
This post really resonates with me. So thankful for the many promises of God to be with us in times of fear and heartache.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you and Ellie. I'm slowly learning to give my fears to the Lord and rely on Him for the strength to get through whatever happens to me. Thank you, Melissa.
ReplyDeleteSince it has already been said, I'll just say I agree with Ellie and Kristy. Well said Melissa.
ReplyDeleteI too catch myself fearing the worst. But I know that no matter what the Lord has a plan for my life and will take care of His children.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest fear is of the future, the unknown that is lurking around the corner. I have to remind myself that The Lord has always been there for me and he always will be there for me. he will help me through whatever tough time lies ahead.
ReplyDeleteOh, Melissa! I cried as I read this for I heard Jesus say that about each one of us. How prophetic your words. "Everything I love is in that plane." That's how much He loves us and feels for us. Wow, wow, wow. Thank you for sharing this. -Uncle Harvey
